Come write into the quiet places
Drop-in passes available for my Inside Voice meditation + writing workshop this Sunday.
The name “Inside Voice” came to me years before I knew what to do with it.
Inside Voice is a monthly write-in to the things that you haven’t yet named. It’s a place to:
play with your voice without expectation.
embody permission to not know where you’re going.
reclaim your self expression.
Of course it’s a nod to the way we’re socialized to be palatable at the cost of trusting our inner voice and intuition.
I began this practice six years ago, and many of the fiery rough drafts and tender sentiments I unearthed made their way into my book Silent Sound: 44 Poems to Hear Your Soul.
I often say my favorite poems started as an angsty joke. I rarely know what’s in me until I grant myself the play.
Playful meditation as the way in
Writing is a practice of listening and translating what we “hear.” Whether we’re slowing down our thoughts to sift through them, tuning in to our body’s sense and intuition, or asking for divine guidance, meditation unlocks ease for us writers.
My students regularly share that they wrote one of their favorite poems or unlocked some profoundly healing insight.
I’m not kidding when I say, I’m always blown away, yet unsurprised at how much brilliance comes through when we simply:
Show up.
My 2025 Dream
I have this wild dream that everyone here will meditate with me at least once in 2025.
Will you join me this Sunday?
